Call for Panels and Papers
The symposium is open to proposals for complete panels or individual papers in fields within the Social Sciences and Humanities that fall within one or more of the following thematic areas:
- Knowledge production, education and research
- Timor-Leste in Southeast Asia: historical and contemporary perspectives
- Development policies, economic and social transformations
- Diasporas, migrations, circulation of people and ideas
- Feminist studies, gender and diversity
- Ecology and climate justice
- Memory, historical justice and reconciliation
- Artistic expressions, heritage and cultural policies
Proposals for panels and papers should take the following into account
- Each panel should have 3 to 4 papers and should be no longer than 90 minutes. Multiple sessions will not be accepted;
- Panel proposals must refer to one or two thematic areas where they can be placed from the selection above, and indicate the papers and authors that will be part of the panel. Abstracts of the panel proposals and submitted papers must include the name of the panel coordinator/authors, the title, and have a maximum of 250 words and 5 keywords;
- Individual paper proposals should refer to one or two thematic areas where they can be placed from the selection above. Abstracts of paper proposals should have a title, a maximum of 250 words and 5 keywords;
Languages accepted at the symposium: Portuguese, Spanish, English.
